Midwest Sustainability Group runs this website, midwestsustainability.org. This page explains what information we collect through the site and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign up for meeting alerts or updates, or tell us you’d like to volunteer, we collect what you type into the form: usually your name and email address, and sometimes your phone number or mailing address. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages are useful and how people find us, we use two analytics services. They tell us things like which pages were visited, which website or search sent the visitor, the type of device and browser, and the general area (city or region) a visit came from. They don’t tell us who you are, and we don’t combine this with the information you give us in forms.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visits from return visits. We’ve turned off Google’s advertising features. You can block Google Analytics with your browser’s privacy settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
How we use it
We use your information to send you the updates you asked for, to let you know about meetings and ways to help, and to reply when you contact us. We don’t sell or rent it to anyone.
Services we use
- Constant Contact stores our mailing list and sends our emails.
- Qgiv processes donations. Your payment details go to Qgiv, not to us.
- Eventbrite sells tickets to some of our events.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. So do the other websites we link to, such as news articles and government pages.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To see, correct or delete the information we have about you, email [email protected].
