Fund the people who show up
Every meeting we attend, study we read and neighbor we bring along runs on gifts from people like you. Right now that means keeping a bypass out of Lake County’s wetlands and fixing the Route 120 we already have.
Secure giving through Qgiv. Give once or monthly; monthly gifts let us plan for the long fights, like this one.

What your gift does
- Keeps us in the room. We follow IDOT’s Route 120 study and the Route 53 greenway transfer meeting by meeting, and we make sure residents hear about them in time to speak.
- Digs into the records. When the Illinois Department of Transportation did not fulfill its obligation to provide us with public information when board member Evan Craig submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in the spring of 2024, he filed a lawsuit with our support and assistance and in consultation with us. His suit won summary judgment, and we are awaiting final settlement. To date, we have received and studied over 40,000 documents in total in our Freedom of Information Act work on the 120 project.
- Puts the facts in front of people. Printing, mailings, maps and this website.
- Trains new advocates. Free Advocacy 101 workshops for neighborhood groups, congregations and classes.
